Reforesting Portugal

PlantarArbor, formerly known as "Plantar o Natal," is a reforestation initiative dedicated to restoring and expanding Portugal's natural forests. Since its inception, nearly 2,000 trees have been planted across the country, with each new tree contributing to the vital task of enhancing the nation's biodiversity and combating climate change.

PlantarArbor Event 1

Key planting events have taken place in various locations, including Serpa in March 2021 and São Pedro do Sul in November 2022. These efforts are part of a larger mission to rejuvenate Portugal's landscapes, particularly in areas that are ecologically significant but in need of restoration.

PlantarArbor Event 2

One such area is the Bioparque, known for its rocky terrain and the presence of several water lines. The challenging landscape requires ongoing intervention to maintain and improve the habitat, ensuring the conservation of local flora and fauna. The work here is crucial for preserving biodiversity and providing a stable ecosystem for future generations.

To support this noble cause, PlantarArbor has introduced a unique partnership: for every Christmas decoration purchased through their initiative, a tree will be planted. This is an excellent way for individuals to contribute to the growth of Portugal's forests while celebrating the festive season.

For those interested in supporting this reforestation effort or learning more about how they can get involved, PlantarArbor welcomes contributions and inquiries. Together, we can help grow a greener Portugal, one tree at a time.
